INSIDE WIREMAN – 8,000 HOUR PROGRAM

Inside Wiremen perform the installation and maintenance of electrical systems for commercial buildings such as schools, offices, retail stores, medical centers, and warehouses; industrial projects such as oil refineries, paper mills, power plants, and manufacturing plants; as well as public works projects such as street lighting and water treatment plants.

Types of system installations include: electrical power and lighting, power distribution and metering, motor control, instrumentation and process control, building automation and energy management, and power generation - both conventional and alternative/renewable energy.

Requirements to complete the program are a minimum of 8,000 hours of supervised on-the-job training, satisfactory completion of the required Inside Wireman course material and acquisition of a Washington State General Journeyman Electrician license.

The classroom training is held one day per week for 24 weeks each year. We have a training center in Mount Vernon for the west side and a training site in E. Wenatchee for east side apprentices.

LIMITED ENERGY / SOUND & COMMUNICATION – 4,800 HOUR PROGRAM

These technicians perform the installation and maintenance for all voice, data and video systems in commercial buildings such as schools, offices, retail stores, and medical centers, as well as industrial projects.
Types of system installations include: telephone, fiber optic networks, data networks, fire alarm, nurse call, CCTV and security.

Requirements to complete the program are 4,800 hours of supervised on-the-job training and satisfactory completion of the required Telecommunications Installer/Technician course material.

The classroom training is held one day per week for 24 weeks each year. We have a training center in Mount Vernon for the west side and a training site in E. Wenatchee for east side apprentices.

PRE-APPRENTICESHIP -  Each of our pre-apprenticeship programs include 192 hours of Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI). The RSI consists of classroom and lab instruction covering topics such as technical math,

commercial, residential, and limited energy wiring, and conduit bending. Participants are also required to obtain OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR/AED certification. See Pre-Apprentice Program for more information.

RESIDENTIAL WIREMAN – 4,000 HOUR PROGRAM

Residential Wiremen perform the installation, maintenance, and integration of various systems for the residential market in single and multi-family dwelling units.
System installations include power and lighting, climate control, home automation, as well as telephone, computer, security, fire alarm and television wiring.

Requirements to complete the program include 4,000 hours of supervised on-the-job training, satisfactory completion of the required Residential Wireman course material and acquisition of a Washington State Journeyman Residential Electrician license.

Classroom training is held one day per week for 24 weeks per year.
