LIMITED ENERGY / SOUND & COMMUNICATION TECHNICIAN - 3 YEAR, 4,800 HOUR PROGRAM
These technicians perform the installation and maintenance for all voice, data and video systems in commercial buildings such as schools, offices, retail stores, and medical centers, as well as industrial projects.
Types of system installations include: telephone, fiber optic networks, data networks, fire alarm, nurse call, CCTV and security.
Requirements to complete the program are 4,800 hours of supervised on the job training and satisfactory completion of the three (3) year Telecommunications Installer/Technician course material.
The classroom training is held during the day for forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, in 1-week sessions spaced throughout the school year of September through July.
